Head to Bands to explore full Archive.org catalogs — Grateful Dead alone has 18,000+ recordings. Filter by year, no account needed to look around.
Best recording, auto-picked Most dates have multiple tapings. We dedupe them and surface the best one — highest rated, then most reviewed, then most downloaded. Look for the 'best of N' tag.
Check off what you've heard On any band's show list, tap the check button to mark a show as already heard — no need to open it. Open a show page for per-song check-offs, star ratings, and notes.
Hit 'Play show' on any show page to stream the recording right here. Songs get auto-marked as heard as they finish playing.
Every band is a quest: hear every show, year by year. Your dashboard tracks hours listened, milestone ranks, and which years you've covered. 3,000 Dead shows is 9,000+ hours — pace yourself.
Rate whole shows or individual songs. Your top-rated list lives on the dashboard so you can find the face-melters again.
Sign in with email or Google and everything syncs to your account — follow bands, track shows, and pick up where you left off on any device.
Share your tour diary Flip on sharing from your dashboard to get a public link showing your favorite bands, the eras you've covered, and your top-rated shows. Send it to your tour crew.
While music plays, a live visualizer dances above the player controls, pulsing with the actual audio. Not feeling it? Tap the sparkle button in the player to turn it off — your choice is remembered.
Real artwork, lossless sound Shows and bands display the actual cover art tapers uploaded to Archive.org. When a recording has a lossless FLAC master and your browser can play it, we stream that automatically — look for the 'Lossless FLAC' badge.
Get a personalized next-show recommendation: our AI reads your taste — bands, ratings, eras — and picks the perfect tape from the vault.
Signed in? Add TaperTrack to your phone's home screen for one-tap access and faster loading — your recent browsing is cached on your device. Android offers a one-tap install; on iPhone use Share → Add to Home Screen.
Add a bio from your dashboard — your public diary page shows it alongside your stats: shows heard, hours listened, and eras covered. Got an idea? Use 'Request a feature' on the dashboard to send feedback straight to the admins.
The Long Strange Trip calculator Every band page shows how many hours of music the whole catalog holds. Drag the slider to your daily listening pace and see how many days — or decades — it would take to hear every show, plus the year you'd finish. Once you're signed in and checking shows off, the calculator gets personal: it subtracts what you've already heard, shows your progress bar, and estimates the time left to finish the rest.
On your dashboard, pick Lossless FLAC for the taper's master quality, or MP3 to save data on the go. Turn on Auto MP3 on cellular to keep full quality on Wi-Fi while streaming MP3 on mobile data. Your choice is saved to your profile and applies to every show you play.
New accounts start by following at least one band — that's what powers your dashboard, quests, and listening diary. You can follow or unfollow bands anytime from the Bands page.
Group shows into your own lists — 'Best of '77', 'Road trip jams', anything. Create collections from your dashboard, then save any show from its page with 'Save to collection'. Open a collection to see its shows and remove any you've outgrown.
Your dashboard tracks listening streaks — check off a show every day to keep the flame alive — and milestone badges as your total climbs, from 'First show' all the way to 'Eternal tour' at 1,000 shows.
Diary gathers your saved show notes into a timeline by the day you last updated them. See each show's date, band and your rating, search your notes or filter by band, then use Open notes to revisit or edit a memory. Notes save when you leave the notes box on a show page.
New features get added here as the tour rolls on.
